The Middleham Jubilee Committee is a partnership between Middleham Feast Committee and Middleham Town Council. The Committee is determined that Middleham should celebrate this occasion in a manner befitting our Royal, Loyal and Ancient traditions.  All sections of the community will be involved in our celebrations.


In the months leading up to the festivities a series of fundraising events will be held including:-

 

Saturday April 27th:


A Jubilee 'Vicars and Tarts' party with music from Middleham's own 'Wensleydale Stompers' at the Middleham Key Centre, Park Lane.
Organisers: Middleham Town Twinners.

Date to be announced:   "Out of Africa"  A talk with slides from Prof. Bryan Shorrocks.

Date to be announced:  Disco dance at Aysgarth Falls Country Club.

Donations of �300 have already been received or promised from community organisations: 
 Middleham W.I.  Indoor Bowling Club and Middleham Feast Committee.


PROVISIONAL ORDER OF EVENTS

                Sunday June 2nd     -

"Beating the Bounds"  Organised walk to mark the boundaries of our ancient township. 
A 10 mile walk in 3 stages Led by Jonathon Watkins and Steve Rowlett
         Fees:  Full Walk �5 per person (includes lunch)
                    Afternoon Walk �3 (includes soft drinks)
All participants to receive a Certificate of Achievement
Well behaved children and dogs welcome

               Monday June 3rd    -   Childrens Sports Day with presentation of Jubilee Souvenirs to all Middleham under 17s by Middleham Town Council.        
Childrens disco.

               Tuesday June 4th    -    Seniors Lunch at Middleham Key Centre.
Grand Jubilee Fancy Dress Parade
'Revels in the Square'
Live music and dancing.  Barbeque.
Torchlight procession and fireworks
