The aim of this site is to provide a complete online guide to Middleham including its
 history and its present day happenings - and for the `would-be` visitor to our beautiful Town,
we hope to point out all the places of interest and things to see and do in the surrounding area.

You will be pleasantly surprised by what Middleham has to offer - it's in a class of its own - a most
unusual place with a colourful history, a thriving horse-racing community and is set amidst the
breathtaking beauty of the Wensleydale countryside with remote farms, beautiful little villages and
heather covered grouse moors.

Middleham is famous for its racehorse training with many well known racing stables in and around
